บ้านโมเดิร์นอิฐ Srinakarin Modern Brick house-
A brick modern house featuring a tilted-angle corridor creates a more dynamic lifestyle and offers various perspectives throughout the day. Furthermore, the building’s striking exterior combines exposed brick and wooden screens for a facade that is both beautiful and practical.
Material Choice: Durability Meets Insulation
We chose exposed brick for two key reasons. First, brick is a permanent and low-maintenance material, saving you time and money. Second, the use of exposed brick requires a double wall, which provides excellent insulation against heat for the house. Fortunately, the contractor and owner used their own team of skilled brick craftsmen, completing the job at a lower cost than the market rate.
Centralized Family Interaction- plan
The stair hall is a centralized sharing space and circulation area. Every family member passes through the stair hall to reach their room, encouraging more interaction and participation. We’ve planned to include an upright piano in this space, making it a true hub. The travertine marble stair feature wall and locally sourced dark ‘maka wooden’ flooring give the space a contemporary look while ensuring low maintenance.
Sustainable & Efficient Living
Sustainable design principles drive the home’s efficiency. Cross ventilation allows the wind from the south to pass through to the north. Double-height spaces facilitate heat flow upwards, keeping the main living areas cooler, while we control the air conditioning zone for smaller enclosed rooms. The dry-wash area is oriented to the southwest, where hot air efficiently dries clothes. Alternatively, this area insulates the bedroom, blocking heat gain
