This project transforms a classic Bangkok shophouse into a modern, highly functional architectural space through strategic structural updates and smart space planning.

Architectural Facade & Climate Performance We completely refinished the south-facing facade using custom adjustable sliding perforated aluminum panels over floor-to-ceiling glass windows. These dynamic aluminum screens control passive heat gain, reduce urban noise pollution from the main road, and protect indoor privacy without sacrificing natural light or ventilation.

Interior Re-Planning & Spatial Efficiency To maximize usable floor area, we relocated the central staircase to an underutilized triangular corner of the building footprint. Moving the stairs out of the center eliminates awkward circulation paths, opens up flexible interior layouts, and enhances natural airflow throughout all levels of the shophouse.
