Located in the serene coastal area of southern Thailand, this modern minimal pool villa is designed to embrace simplicity, natural light, and a seamless connection with nature. The house features a pure white architectural mass surrounded by a lush green landscape, creating a striking yet peaceful balance between built form and nature.

The villa offers breathtaking west-facing mountain views and east-facing proximity to the sea, allowing residents to experience both sunrise and sunset in comfort. Designed in an L-shaped open-plan layout, the living and dining areas run parallel to the pool on the northeast side. This strategic orientation serves two main purposes: eliminating visual glare from the pool and allowing the building’s mass to cast natural shade over the pool and deck during the afternoon — ideal for the owner, who prefers late-day swimming. A pool bar counter located on the north side connects directly to the kitchen, ensuring convenient service and functionality.

Sustainability and passive cooling principles guide the design. The villa takes advantage of Pranburi’s excellent natural ventilation, promoting cross-breezes throughout the entire house. To reduce heat gain, the west façade incorporates minimal glazing and double walls with a 10-cm air gap for thermal insulation. Additionally, the southwest stairwell functions as a heat buffer, protecting interior spaces from direct sunlight.
